Highlands Support Services Inc. provides interpreting and note-taking services between Australian Sign Language (AUSLAN) and English speaking people to enable deaf, deaf/blind, speech impaired and hearing people to communicate and gain access to services.

Interpreting is the act of transferring a message from one language to another. Interpreters are most often used in the following situations:
Community arenas
Medical appointments
Religious services
Civil matters
Educational needs
Pre & post employment requirements

Highlands Support Services Inc. operates this service under strict ethical and advisory guidlines between the interpreter and clients.

Auslan Interpreting & Note-taking services provided by Highlands Support Services are undertaken by interpreters who have undertaken the Diploma of Interpreting - Auslan, NAATI Level 2 - Para Professional

They are very qualified and able to assist and support you with all your interpreting or note-taking requests.

All Interpreting and Note-taking services are undertaken with completed confidentiality and respect for client's privacy.
